Parent information (nursery)

Our partnership with parents and carers is essential to our success. Please read this information and get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Uniform

We are currently reviewing uniform options at Peter Pan at Eastwick. There is no current requirement to wear uniform. If anyone would like to buy the current uniform, please contact Louise Sutherland via the school officer: info@eastwick.thpt.org.uk

Daily required items

Every day, each child needs to attend Peter Pan with:

  • A water bottle – so that they can refresh themselves whenever they feel it is necessary. Several studies show that good hydration is important for cognitive development
  • A healthy mid-morning snack – preferably fruit or vegetables. Some children also like to bring cheese and crackers. We also provide additional fruit and veg
  • Wellington boots for outdoor play – apart from when it is dry. A waterproof coat is also required during wet weather
  • Sun hat and sun cream – during hot and sunny weather

Parent meetings

Parent involvement is a huge strength of Peter Pan. Ofsted has praised the highly effective partnership between staff, parents and carers.

We hold parents’ meetings twice a year, either on Zoom or in person. Parents and carers are welcome to come and play anytime. We just ask you to give your child a couple of weeks to settle in first.

In-demand items

Any donations of the following items are always gratefully received:

  • Tissues
  • Glue sticks
  • Sellotape and masking tape
  • Feather, stickers or other art/craft items
  • Packs of paper or card (white or coloured)
  • Baby wipes, nappy sacs, disposable gloves
  • Hand sanitiser

SEND and inclusion

All children are welcome at Peter Pan and we will endeavour to meet each child’s individual needs.

If you have any concerns regarding your child’s development, please discuss that with a member of staff during your first visit. We will work closely with you to try and ensure we have the right resources to help.

Members of our staff are trained in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). We receive additional support from the wider team at Eastwick as well as external agencies and specialists.
