Afternoon all,

As you will know, communication has recently been sent out about our end-of-year residential to Runways End, Aldershot. We are incredibly excited to be taking the children away in what I know will be a fantastic trip. If you have any concerns or questions, including those of a financial nature, please do contact your child’s class teacher, Lucy Gill, or myself, and we would be more than happy to support.

Maths: Over the next few weeks, we will be learning about fractions.

English: We are continuing our learning around information texts, specifically linked to Stonehenge.

Foundation: We will beginning a new topic learning about the Vikings in History. In PSHE, we will be learning more about differences within us. In Science, we will be continuing with our learning about materials and properties.

As a reminder, homework days are as follows:

Maths Homework- Set on Monday, due on Wednesday.

English Homework- Set on Wednesday, due on Friday. Over the next few weeks, this will be to learn lyrics.

Spelling Homework- Set on Monday, due on Friday.

We would also please encourage children to be reading and accessing Times Table Rockstars when time allows.

Please be reminded that Bikeability will be taking place in the following weeks:

W/C 16^th March 2025 and W/C 23^rd March 2025

The Year 5 ‘Go for Gold’ production will be taking place on the following dates:

Thursday 12^th February (5pm) and Friday 13^th February (9am)

Year 5 will be visiting the Howard of Effingham school’s library on the following dates:

Thursday 29^th January (Wolves’ Class) and Thursday 12^th February (Foxes’ Class)
