There is a thirst for learning in Year 5 when it comes to history! The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about the differences between Athens v’s Sparta and celebrated their knowledge with top marks in a quiz.

Maths: In maths we will continue our topic on positions and movement and particularly focusing on reflections.

English: Everyone has been fascinated with learning about Stonehenge. This week we will be writing information texts using research from the previous week.

Foundation: In Design Technology we will be making a Greek salad and dip, in history it will be our second lesson on Athens vs Sparta, in computing the children will evaluate their stop-start animations, in RE we will research ‘God’s solution’ and in PSHE we will find out about what makes a good team in preparation for our Thames Young Mariner trip and for those children staying at school.

Air-up bottles - some pods are going missing and we are aware that they are expensive. Therefore, we would prefer if children bought in just a standard water bottle. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Stationery – please can we remind each child to come to school with a fully-equipped pencil case (blue pen, pencil, purple pen, glue-stick, ruler, whiteboard pen).
