Staff and governors at the Eastwick Schools follow a shared vision and want the best possible education for every child attending our schools.

The head teacher is an enthusiastic and energetic leader who collaborates fully with staff. Our teachers embrace current thinking and aim to be at the cutting edge of educational advancements to bring the very best practice to the classroom. Our committed and highly skilled support team is an integral and invaluable part of our school.

Whilst we are the specialists in education, parents are specialists in the hopes, dreams and needs of their own children. Every possible effort is made to run an open and caring school where parents feel able to play a full part in their child’s education. Parents’ help and advice concerning their child’s needs are as vital as the school’s professional expertise.

The head teacher and class teachers are readily available to discuss progress, celebrate achievements, and help with any anxiety or problem which may arise.

Parents and carers are always welcome in the school and we appreciate the time they give to help both children and teachers.

Our well-organised class representative system helps to keep parents informed and involved in school life. Our fantastic ‘Friends of Eastwick’ also work tirelessly to help the school community
thrive by organising an exciting and varied programme of social and fundĀ­ raising events. The latter enables us to fund projects such as new outdoor play equipment, sheltered areas for outdoor learning and innovative ICT enhancements.

Finally, our partnership with each child is fundamental to success. Before a child starts at the Eastwick Schools, the head teacher and class teacher meet with the family to get acquainted with the child and their immediate family. We build upon this relationship throughout your child’s school life, valuing the opinions and feelings of each individual in our care, so we can continually review and adapt our provision to better meet the needs of each child. If we identify concerns about a child which relates to keeping them safe we have a legal duty to liaise with other relevant services and to continue to work in partnership with parents/carers.

Our lasting legacy is that children leave the Eastwick Schools with happy memories; as confident and independent individuals who understand the learning process; that they will have a love of learning and life and that they are well-prepared for the next stage of their education.
